As senior advisor I provide research and consultancy services on complex information and enterprise architecture issues, such as interoperability, portfolio management, legacy modernization, agile service development, and model management. Among my clients are financial and (semi)governmental organizations as well as high-tech software companies.

Models play an important role in tackling these issues and therefore in my work. My primary interest and expertise lie in the areas of model-based and model-driven architecture and development. I advise organisations on the adoption and use of the the ArchiMate language for enterprise architecture modelling and analysis. I address interoperability problems with the Essence method for contextual information modelling. For agile service development I have developed a framework and method for integrating various modelling techniques. In addition I have researched and experimented with model-driven mobile service development in the A-Muse project.

Before joining Novay, I worked at the University of Kent at Canterbury on the application of formal methods in the area of Open Distributed Processing. More specifically, I developed techniques for partial specification, such as consistency checking and composition, and for enterprise modelling and policy specification.
